Welcome to the Austin Council of the Blind

The Austin Council of the Blind (Austin Council) is a consumer-based advocacy organization. It is a chapter of the American Council of the Blind of Texas (ACBT). ACBT is an affiliate of the American Council of the Blind (ACB).

The Austin Council addresses issues that people who are blind face in the Austin metropolitan area. It also works with ACBT on statewide issues and with ACB on national issues.
